I'm a software engineer living in San Francisco. I code primarily in Python, JavaScript, and Ruby.
A first generation immigrant from Wuhan, China, I grew up in the rural and suburban Midwest. I pursued studies in theoretical math, economics, and statistics at the University of Chicago, but also keenly enjoyed my required studies in the humanities, social sciences, and arts. After a brief stint in management consulting, I did internal strategy analysis for the executive management of Vivid Seats, Ltd., a fast-expanding e-commerce company located in Chicago. My training in computer science came from App Academy, a programming school where I studied algorithms and CS fundamentals for 90-100 hours a week.
My passions in life center around learning and experiencing as much of the world as I can. I'm an avid reader with an abnormal interest in economics, philosophy and politics. In my freetime, I most enjoy skiing down a difficult slope and exploring Northern California on my bike.
This website is an attempt to encapsulate my 气 or Geist. My life is in a constant state of 改善 or Kaizen. Feel free to check out some of my work below.
